SPCG has advised the Oriens Bijou Group, which conducted franchise-based retail sales in stationary stores and through the online platform of Tous brand products in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, on the sale of this network to the Tous group.
Since the debut in Poland over 10 years ago, the Tous brand sales network has been built by Oriens Bijou as part of a franchise system. During this time, it developed into 45 stores present in 20 Polish cities and 16 stores in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. As part of the network, sales were also carried out via the e-commerce platform.
The Tous Group has decided to start independent retail sale of Tous products in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The fastest way to achieve this was to take over the operations of the Oriens Bijou Group. The transaction was concluded during the SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic and widespread restrictions related to ensuring health security, including restrictions on shopping centers. Despite these difficulties, both sides of the transaction managed to perform it efficiently and effectively, including the smooth takeover by Tous of managing the acquired sales network.
