Specializes in financial law, including tax law, as well as state aid law. He also represents clients in fiscal and business criminal law.
He gained experience i.a. in the tax advisory departments of Deloitte and PwC. He participated in many legal and tax projects, including complex M&A transactions. He also has extensive experience in representing clients in tax proceedings, tax audits and white-collar crime cases.
He is an assistant professor at the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Management, Academic Unit for the Business Law. He also lectures at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) and cooperates as an expert with the Centre for Digital Economy and Finance at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
He was awarded a PhD in legal sciences based on the dissertation: “Meaning and legal consequences of due diligence review in M&A transactions”. He graduated MSc: Finance and Auditing studies at the University of Economics in Katowice and France Business School in Clermont-Ferrand as well as the British and European Law School conducted by the British Law Centre affiliated with the University of Warsaw and the University of Cambridge. He also completed doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia in Katowice.
Author of numerous scientific publications on legal and tax issues as well as co-author of the Commentary to the Corporate Income Tax Act and Commentary to the provisions on the simple joint-stock company. Regularly publishes articles on tax law on the SPCG's blog.
