In the latest ranking of the law firms of the “Rzeczpospolita” daily, the SPCG law firm was awarded in the category “Handling transaction requiring legal artistry” and for the next year in a row as the largest law firm from outside Warsaw – in the ranking of law firms from the Lesser Poland.

The awarded transaction – complex process of de-merger of Deutsche Bank Poland combined with transfer of part of enterprise to BZ WBK (Santander Group) – was recognized by a jury consisting of renowned representatives of the financial sector in Poland for legal artistry and innovative solutions applied in the course of the project. SPCG represented Deutsche Bank Poland and in particular Management Board of the Bank in negotiations of values agreements pertaining to the project, including pre-demerger agreement with Santander, cooperation agreement with Deutsche Bank AG, outsourcing agreement and transaction agreement. Our services encompassed also advice on regulatory issues, pertaining to antitrust matters, regulatory banking issues (outsourcing) as well as brokerage activity. The team of lawyers and the implementation of the project was supervised by the Partners – Piotr M. Szelenbaum and Artur Zapała.
