Akuo Energy, an independent French renewable energy producer, late December 2019 obtained financing for the construction of three wind farms with a total power of 132 MW. SPCG represented Akuo Energy in negotiations related to acquiring a strategic investor – the Mirova fund – and advised Akuo Energy at the stage of obtaining financing, implemented mainly under British law, in selected corporate and tax matters regulated by Polish law.

The construction process of wind farms will be financed by the Mirova Eurofideme 4 fund managed by Mirova (Natixis) and a bank consortium of BNP Paribas Bank Polska, Commerzbank and mBank. Akuo Energy wind farms are to be launched in 2021 and provide clean energy to over 200,000 households in Poland.

On behalf of SPCG the advisory process was managed by Łukasz Zięcina, Partner, supported by Piotr Kamiński – Partner, Łukasz Przyborowski – Senior Associate, Grzegorz Keler and Jakub Puciato – Associates as well as Jakub Zieliński and Piotr Bernacki – Junior Associates.
